Taking to our friends at ‘Complex’ recently, Latto (born Alyssa Stephens) was asked to name who she believe the greatest of all time (GOAT) is when it comes to female rappers.

“I am the GOAT…I’m my GOAT and that’s all that matters,” she said – echoing the sentiment rendered by her sister Brooklyn. “But, the [overall] GOAT is Lil Kim.”

Supporting her answer with praise for the Queen Bee, Stephens not only asserted Kim’s impact in fashion and music makes her the greatest but also her demeanor off-stage.

“She’s a queen off-camera for real,” Latto shared. “I love that b-tch; and she’s BIG mama too.”

The now-viral clip got an instant side-eye from #Barbz who unearthed clips of the GRAMMY nominee previously praising Minaj as the ultimate femcee.

“Nicki is the queen and any girl from this generation going forward who don’t list Nicki is giving ‘hater’,” she said in an interview from years ago.

Granted, the resurfaced video came years before the two engaged in an infamous headbutt on X (formerly known as Twitter) that’s seemingly led to lasting damage of their one-time mutual admiration.

Still, the new Latto commentary was enough to send #Barbz into a frenzy.

See highlights below (including Nicki herself who many assumed was subliminally responding to the trending topic).

At the time of this report Lil Kim has not responded to the hoopla.
