It seems to be easy to go from being a well-known rapper to a talking head in sports media. Or, at least for Grammy Award winner Lil Wayne, the change seems effortless. Tunechi will make weekly appearances on NFL Network’s Sunday morning program NFL GameDay Morning, the network announced at halftime of Sunday’s New York Giants vs. Carolina Panthers game in Munich, Germany.
Lil Wayne will have a significant influence in sports media for a long time to come. Alongside host Skip Bayless, the rapper contributed to the now-canceled FS1 debate program Undisputed last year. The opening song for that episode was also recorded by Lil Wayne.

The former sparring partners will reconnect and start their own “sports-based show with music and life mixed in,” according to Bayless, as reported by Marcellus Wiley earlier this year.
But it seems that Weezy’s passion for sports media doesn’t start and stop with Skip. The renowned Green Bay Packers supporter will appear on NFL Network every Sunday alongside Rich Eisen, Kurt Warner, Steve Mariucci, and Gerald McCoy.
What NFL Network has planned for the rapper will be intriguing to watch. Lil Wayne obviously has a passion for sports and sports media, even though his weekly stints on Undisputed didn’t exactly receive great reviews. Furthermore, why not find a role for Lil Wayne, an artist of his caliber?
