Monique Samuels is speaking up and out about her split from her husband Chris Samuels.

As reported, it was confirmed in May that the couple – who starred on the ‘Real Housewives of Potomac’ and ‘Love & Marriage: D.C.’ – are divorcing after 10 years of marriage.

Now, by way of a candid Q&A with fans on Instagram, Monique has expanded on their present predicament, as well as the circumstances that led to the breakup.

Speaking frankly, the RHOP star said of the divorce “it’s like going through a death.”

Updating on the pair’s living situation, Monique added”

“We’re still living together right now. I wouldn’t want to move out of this house and have a temporary living situation where the children aren’t comfortable. So that wouldn’t make sense.”

She’s also mapping out her future with a fresh move:

“I bought a house back in March, I’m remodeling it right now. It’s a beautiful home, I love it. It’s five bedrooms. It’s really nice on a little over an acre of land. I call it my haven. I’m just waiting to finish the remodel.”

I won’t be living in Potomac. I’m going to go where I can afford to live. But I bought a beautiful house, and I love it.”
