Time may be tick-tocking at a rapid rate, but the social media platform TikTok is helping turn back the hands of time to shine a light on amazing music.

Case in point Miguel‘s ‘Sure Thing.’

A “sped up” version of the 2010 track, which is lifted from the R&B star’s debut album ‘All I Want Is You,’ has gone all sorts of viral (with some 2.5 million videos made to date) and helped the song re-peak on the Official UK Singles Chart.

On the latest incarnation of the covered count, ‘Sure Thing’ has soared to #10 – 13 years after its initial arrival.

Speaking on the refreshed success, Miguel said:

“I’m really excited for this song to be getting recognition. Thank you to everyone who’s supported on TikTok and created new memories with the song. It’s all I could ever ask for.”
