Micah Parsons Gets Frank About Patrick Mahomes Ahead of Superbowl

Patrick Mahomes is a name on everyone’s lips these days. Predictions regarding the high-stakes matchup between the Philadelphia Eagles and the Kansas City Chiefs are rife in the football community as Super Bowl LIX approaches. While the Eagles seek to exact revenge for their defeat to Kansas City in Super Bowl LVII, the Chiefs are aiming for an incredible three-peat, which has never been done in NFL history.

Even though the Chiefs are the slight favorites at 1.5 points, the game is predicted to be quite close. One elite athlete, however, is certain of the winner.

This week, Micah Parsons, a linebacker for the Dallas Cowboys, made it known that he would be picking the Chiefs to win the Super Bowl by openly supporting them and seemingly making fun of the Eagles. The All-Pro defender denied that Philadelphia could win the game in an interview with Micah Parsons on The Edge.

In an interview with Falcons running back Bijan Robinson, Parsons stated: “I got the Chiefs,”  “I said the same thing two years ago, I took the Chiefs again. I’m always gonna take the Chiefs because coaching beats talent. The Eagles are as talented as the 49ers last year. I’m taking Chiefs. The one thing about the Chiefs is they always find a way.”

Eagles supporters may not agree with Parsons’ steadfast support for Kansas City, but it’s obvious why: he values coaching more than natural skill. But his position isn’t totally unexpected. His deep-seated hatred of the Eagles as a Cowboys star makes his belief in a Chiefs victory all the more glaring.

Parsons is doubling down after accurately picking Kansas City to win it all two years ago. His remarks will undoubtedly stoke the already intense rivalry between Dallas and Philadelphia, especially with history on the line and tensions at an all-time high.
