Mariano Rivera Sued for Covering Sexual Abuse

In a recent lawsuit, Mariano Rivera, the renowned former closer for the New York Yankees, and his wife Clara are being accused of grave crimes. The Riveras are accused of concealing the sexual assault of a youngster connected to their Westchester County, New York, church, Refuge of Hope, in the case, which was submitted to the New York Supreme Court.

According to the lawsuit, the abuse took place during a summer internship in 2018 at the Riveras family’s church-affiliated Ignite Life Center in Gainesville, Florida. An older female camper, identified as MG, is accused of abusing the minor, Jane Doe.

According to the lawsuit, the Riveras isolated and threatened Jane Doe to keep quiet to preserve the church’s reputation rather than acting to halt the abuse. The accusations also include a cookout event at the Riveras’ house in Rye, New York, where Jane Doe was allegedly subjected to further abuse by MG.
