LeBron James Catching Heat After Being Caught Up In Caitlin Clark-Angel Reese Beef

LeBron James is catching some serious heat for showing support for Caitlin Clark. If you don’t know, Caitlin Clark is WNBA basketball star who’s been tearing it up on the court. And LeBron, being the supportive guy he is, decided to give her a shoutout on social media.

But of course, not everyone was happy about it. Some people think LeBron is a race traitor for giving Clark a shout-out while black WNBA players such as Angel Reese are also doing well.

James gave Clark a shoutout on his X page after she became the fastest player in WNBA history to reach three career triple-doubles.

LeBron wrote, “TRIPLE DUB CC!! Great way to kick off the season!”

During her rookie season, Clark posted 19.2 points, 5.7 rebounds, and 8.4 assists per game. The Fever star won the Rookie of the Year award and was named a WNBA All-Star starter, leading the league in assists and scoring for all rookies.

She has now started off her second year, breaking a record, and James simply wanted to show her some love.

Unfortunately, things took a drastic turn online.

Caitlin Clark dropped a triple double on Saturday and social media went crazy. She also got into a skirmish with Angel Reese that led to a flagrant foul and additional techncals.

Online, LeBron James gave Clakr a shoutout for her game.

Although James has not hesitated to publicly support Clark, his X post sparked some controversy among fans who urged him to speak out for Chicago Sky player, and Clark’s rival, Angel Reese, as well.

But hey, at the end of the day, LeBron can support whoever he wants, right? And if he sees potential in Caitlin and wants to give her some love, then more power to him. Let’s just hope this whole thing blows over soon and we can get back to talking about the actual game.
