Kyrie Irving’s amazing basketball skills have made him one of the most well-known players in the world. But what has really won over sports fans is the nine-time All-Star’s kindness. His charitable endeavors include disaster assistance, social justice, education, and frequently just lending a hand to those in need—sometimes just because they asked. Furthermore, a lot of these crimes go unreported.

Among NBA fans, Irving hasn’t always had the best reputation. He received harsh criticism for his position on the COVID-19 vaccination during the 2021–22 season since he refused to be vaccinated just because the league required players to do so.

During his time with the Brooklyn Nets and the Boston Celtics, two clubs he publicly pledged to stay with for the long run before leaving soon after, he also offended some fans. However, it appears that the basketball community has completely changed their perception of him when he moved to Dallas in 2023 and has continued to be generous. And with good reason.

Naturally, Irving responded to a fan named Mike Cassidy’s Instagram request for assistance in buying a wheelchair-accessible car. Cassidy later disclosed on X (previously Twitter) that the 2016 NBA champion contributed $11,000 to his GoFundMe goal, despite the fact that the request was made on Instagram.
