‘Run It‘ hitmaker Chris Brown – currently doing a run around the globe on the hotly selling ‘Breezy Bowl Tour‘ – won’t be running back to London any time soon over that headline-grabbing assault case thanks to news the accuser has dropped his lawsuit against him.

As reported here, Brown – less than two weeks ago – appeared in the UK’s Southwark Crown Court to plead not guilty against accusations he hit music producer Amadou “Abe” Diaw with a tequila bottle and stomped him in a London club in 2023.

The alleged assault resulted in Diaw’s hospitalization and eventually led him to file a $16 million lawsuit against the ‘Loyal‘ singer.

Now, according to legal documents obtained by Billboard, Amadou requested his suit against Brown be dismissed with prejudice late last week. Under these conditions, the case cannot be filed again in court.

At writing, it has not been confirmed if the music producer received a private settlement.

Chris isn’t completely off the hook yet, however.

He still faces criminal charges stemming from the case.

Said charges led to his arrest in May and a short jail stint until a judge granted him a $6.7 million bail during a custody hearing.
