Khabib Nurmagomedov Was Removed From a Plane

The news that former fighter Khabib Nurmagomedov had been thrown from a flight that was initially leaked to be with Alaska Airlines but was later found to be with Fly Frontier began to surprise a lot of UFC fans, as well as his personal friends and colleagues.

Why did Khabib Nurmagomedov get removed from flight?

It all began when Khabib boarded an airline trip that was likely headed for California, the site of UFC 311, which his cousin Umar Nurmagomedov is competing in on January 18.

It all seemed to have started with a miscommunication between the former fighter and a staff member who, since his seat was in one of the aircraft’s emergency exits, inquired if he might help other passengers in case of an emergency. Even though Khabib speaks English well, it’s possible that he gave him a response that didn’t satisfy him. As a result, he offered him a different seat, which the former fighter declined, and he was led outside the aircraft.

Khabib explained the course of events with his usual deference: “The lady who approached me with questions was very rude from the beginning, even though I speak English very well and can understand everything and agreed to help, she insists on taking me out of my seat. What was the basis for that, racial, national or otherwise? I’m not sure (…) I did my best to stay calm and be respectful, as you can see in the video“.
