KeKe Palmer, hot on the promo trail for her latest album ‘Big Boss,’ didn’t shy away from big praise of B-Rocka as she dished on the R&B diva’s impact on the genre’s modern-day hitmakers.

“She has a really unique voice that I think is the groundwork for any young person today doing R&B,” KeKe relayed (as seen in the video above).

Tapping into the ‘Vocal Bible’ debate, Palmer also made it clear where she stood on who deserves the title.

“People that don’t sing, they always don’t get the ‘Vocal Bible’ gag and that’s how you know they don’t know music,” she said before later sharing, “It’s very embarrassing.”

‘Vocal Bible’ – an honorific title afforded to a singer whose vocal stylings are considered highly revered by admirers and fellow vocalists as a standard to be followed – is one that’s been associated with Brandy for most of her adult life.

And though some have argued that moniker is undue, millions – including superstars like Palmer, Tank, India.Arie, Jill Scott, Fantasia, Tori Kelly, JoJo, Jazmine Sullivan, and more – aren’t afraid to give the ‘I Wanna Be Down’ singer the crown.
