Katy Perry Addresses “Unhinged” Online Hate After Wendy’s Refused to Apologize for Blue Origin Diss: “Please Know I’m OK”

Katy Perry is breaking her silence on the mountain of hate she’s received online over the last month.

When not dodging disses from the likes of fellow Pop diva Kesha and fast food chain Wendy’s for her Blue Origin trip outer space, Perry’s been fielding criticisms for the commercial nonperformance of her latest album ‘143‘ and its supportive tour.

Weary of the shade, Katy took to social media to pen an open letter to her fans to acknowledge their support throughout the incessant online attacks.

Katy Perry Announces US Lifetimes Tour

Taking to the Instagram comment section of a fan page, Perry expressed her gratitude to her fans (affectionately called #KatyCats).

“I’m so grateful for you guys. We’re in this beautiful and wild journey together. I can continue to remain true to myself, heart open and honest especially because of our bond. I love you guys and have grown up together with you and am so excited to see you all over the world this year! Please know I am ok, I have done a lot work around knowing who I am, what is real and what is important to me,” she started her post. “My therapist said something years ago that has been a game changer, ‘no one can make you believe something about yourself that you don’t already believe about yourself,’ and if I ever do have any feelings about it then it’s an opportunity to investigate the feeling underneath it.”

Later in the message, Katy acknowledged how seeing the #KatyCats on the ‘Lifetimes World Tour‘ (which kicked off last week in Mexico) has been uplifting.

“When the online world tries to make me a human Piñata, I take it with grace and send them love, cause I know so many people are hurting in so many ways and the internet is very much so a dumping ground for unhinged and unhealed,” she relayed to the fan page’s 110,000 followers. “What’s real is seeing your faces every night, singing in unison, reading your notes, feeling your warmth. I find people to lock eyes and sing with and I know we are healing each other in a small way…”

The ‘Kissed a Girl’ hitmaker’s comment comes not long after Wendy’s refused to apologize for dissing her despite backlash for their unwarranted slam around her Blue Origin voyage.

“We always bring a little spice to our socials, but Wendy’s has a ton of respect for Katy Perry and her out-of-this-world-talent,” a spokesperson for the company said to ‘People‘ about the blowback over their original statement.

At writing, Katy has not directly addressed the fast food giants.
