In the first round of the College Football Playoffs, Ohio State wide receiver Jeremiah Smith believed he had an easy victory over Tennessee defensive back Jermod McCoy.
Smith collected 103 yards and two scores on six throws as the Buckeyes dominated the Volunteers 42–17. Following the game, he ridiculed a Pro Football Focus piece on social media that implied he might be busy with McCoy:

All season long, college football fans have been in awe of Smith. In 2024, 247Sports’ composite rankings ranked him as the top player overall, and he has performed much better than expected.
Can Jeremiah Smith break into the NFL soon?
