Jayson Tatum’s Trainer Goes Off On Brandon Jennings

In a recent episode, Brandon Jennings asked an intriguing question: “Is [Jayson Tatum] the softest Boston Celtics superstar ever?” and then set fire to Gil’s Arena. The notion that someone like Tatum could be deemed “soft” by any means was contested by Gilbert Arenas. However, Jennings maintained that if you pit JT against other Celtics greats, he is weak.

As neither side was willing to compromise, the conversation quickly became heated. The strong arguments put out by both sides also helped it acquire a lot of attention on social media. But Tatum’s trainer, Drew Hanlen, wasn’t happy with all the bad press his client was receiving.

He made fun of Jennings for disparaging a superstar like JT in spite of his own lackluster play on the court.

On X, Hanlen wrote: “Brandon Jennings career highlights (updated): 1) 55 point game 2) High school career 3) [Jayson Tatum] acknowledging his dumba** take on Instagram,”

According to the well-known NBA trainer, one of the highlights of Jennings’s mediocre career was the Celtics star’s social media recognition.

Tatum shared a number of images and a couple clips of his game highlights on Instagram with the comment, “SoFtesT SuPeRstar in CeLtiC HiStoRy,” following the viral success of the Gil’s Arena film. JT was obviously not in the mood to quarrel with the cast of Gil’s Arena. He nevertheless wished to draw attention to how absurd Jennings’ interpretation was.
