Sexyy Red has Billboard perusers seeing red thanks to the out-of-the-box success of her latest single ‘Skeeyee.’
Officially unveiled June 9 as part of her sophomore EP, ‘Hood Hottest Princess,’ the scorching, Tay Keith-produced track caught fire on TikTok in the months following its release and finally blazed a course to the Hot 100.
In fact, its success on the video-based app was so pervasive the Music Bible crowned the ‘Hood Princess’ the first to sit on the throne of an entire new chart.

In partnership with TikTok, Billboard announced the launch of a new Top 50 songs chart that tracks the most consumed singles on the popular social platform.
Based on a combination of creations, video views, and user engagement by the U.S. TikTok community, the new chart is a testament to the impact the app continues to have on the music industry and the consumption of its products.
“I am so excited that so many of my songs are charting on TikTok and Billboard’s new chart,” said Red in response to news ‘Skeeyee’ made history as the chart’s first #1. “I always knew I would be a #1 type of artist, so I want to thank all my fans on TikTok for running my music up! I’m just being me on TikTok and people love it.”
The news came the same week ‘Skeeyee’ premiered at #67 on the Hot 100 – marking Sexyy’s inaugural solo appearance and highest rung reached yet (by her lonesome) on the hitlist. Her overall best remains the Nicki Minaj-assisted ‘Pound Town 2,’ which peaked at #66 at the height of its popularity.
