Gillie Da Kid Claims That Noah Scurry Killed His Son Yng Cheese

Gillie Da Kid claims that authorities told him about a link between the recent murder of Noah Scurry, a local high school basketball star, and the murder of his son Devin Spady almost two years ago.

Gillie disclosed that although his kid was killed in the shooting, he was not the target of the lethal bullets. The son of Philadelphia rapper Gillie Da Kid, Devin Spady, also known as YNG Cheese, was murdered in a quadruple shooting in Olney in July 2023.

Investigators said gunshots broke out on the 5800 block of Mascher Street, killing the 25-year-old and wounding two other men.

In the horrific triple shooting, no arrests have been recorded by the police. Noah Scurry, then 17 years old, was shot dead in front of his mother outside his house in mid-January 2025.

According to Philadelphia Police, Scurry was shot and died in an alleyway behind Rohrer Street at around 7 a.m. on January 14 in what seemed to be a targeted shooting. There were about twenty rounds fired.

Scurry was a standout student-athlete, according to Philadelphia School District spokesman Monique Braxton, who also claimed the school community, basketball coach, and principal were distraught.

Scurry recently received the top score in the school community on the SAT College Placement examinations, according to a letter that was sent home with the families.
