The film stars Brad Pitt as Sonny Hayes, a Formula One driver who raced in the 90s. After a fiery crash, he’s forced to retire and starts racing in other disciplines.

In the trailer, Hayes is seen as a washed-up star of yesteryear until a Formula One team owner and Hayes’ friend Ruben (Javier Bardem) contacts him.

'F1' Trailer Starring Brad Pitt and Damson Idris

Ruben wants him to come out of retirement to mentor rookie prodigy Joshua ‘Noah’ Pearce (Damson Idris) for the Apex Grand Prix team (APXGP).

The mentor and protégé seem to bump heads and not get along but looks like eventually that’ll change.

‘F1’ is set to come to the big screen in June.
