Danica Patrick Claims She Was “Worn Down to Nothing” With Aaron Rodgers

Speaking candidly about the long-lasting emotional effects of her relationship with unemployed NFL player Aaron Rodgers, Danica Patrick described their 2020 breakup as the most agonizing event of her life.

The former NASCAR driver called their two-year relationship “emotionally abusive,” saying it left her identity and confidence broken, in an open discussion on The Sage Steele Show.

Remembering the moment when everything changed, Patrick remarked, “The breakup with Aaron in 2020, because it was sudden,” 

“It felt like it was my life. So when you live with somebody, it’s your whole life… And because the nature of the relationship was emotionally abusive, so that wore me down to nothing.”

“Someone that you know, people could never imagine that I would lack any confidence, or belief in the simple things about who I am. Everything was torn to bits. He leaves a trail of blood. I don’t think I’m saying too much earth-shattering stuff after we – there’s been enough out there.”

Patrick, a public personality frequently commended for her courage and a trailblazer in motorsport, said the event made her doubt even the most fundamental aspects of herself.
