Dallas Cowboys Give Dak Prescott a Clear Statement

In order for the Dallas Cowboys’ offense to flourish in 2025, they must first improve their quarterback. Dak Prescott needs offensive weapons to play up to the enormous four-year, $240 million contract that Dallas gave him last year.

Due to a torn hamstring, Prescott missed the majority of the previous season; nonetheless, he had little offensive support when he was on the field.

CeeDee Lamb is essentially the only wide receiver in the Cowboys‘ room, and the running backs are also mediocre. Although officials had previously stated that they were not finished spending, Dallas did little to address that problem in free agency either.

Cowboys issue a statement regarding Dak Prescott

Stephen Jones, executive vice president, stated: “We’re not done yet,”

“We still got some things that are out standing that we’re trying to get done.

“Missed a few guys along the way too in terms of the number just being a lot higher than we thought it would be on a couple guys.

“Overall we’re real pleased with what we were able to do with our roster and help the team.”

The Cowboys are unlikely to locate their No. 2 receiver on the open market at this stage of free agency. Rather, they will need to consider the NFL Draft, where they have a wide receiver in prime position to pursue. Tetairoa McMillan of Arizona is the best wide receiver in the draft class.

Regretfully, by the time the Cowboys select at No. 12, he will most likely be gone. They will need to switch to one of the two next-best candidates, either Matthew Golden of Texas or Luther Burden III of Missouri.

With only 676 yards and six touchdowns, Burden’s season wasn’t the most fruitful in history.
