Cynthia Bailey Reveals What Led To Her Filing For Divorce From Mike Hill & Responds To ‘RHOBH’ Rumors
Weeks after announcing her divorce, Cynthia Bailey gets candid on what was the “final straw” that led her to file for divorce from her husband, Mike Hill. She also addressed rumors that she’s joining “Real Housewives of Beverly Hills.” Find out what she said inside… Cynthia Bailey is spilling tea on what led her to call it quits with her estranged husband Mike Hill two years after their marriage. Three weeks ago, the former “Real Housewives of Atlanta” star, 55, and the “Black News Channel” host, 52, announced they were divorcing, following rumors that they were over. The biggest clue was the fact that Cynthia and Mike didn’t post anything on social media about their wedding anniversary after their second anniversary. The former couple announced in a joint statement that they voluntarily decided to separate after noticing they were drifting apart. “LOVE is a beautiful thing. While we both will always have love for one another, we have decided to go our separate ways,” they said in an official statement. “We are grateful that we remain good friends, and will always cherish the many memories we’ve shared together as husband and wife. Many of you have been on this journey with us from the very beginning, and we appreciate our family, friends and beloved fans for your positive support as we move forward and start new chapters. Thank you for your prayers and well wishes!” The former “RHOA” star appeared on the “Two Ts in a Pod” podcast, where she revealed the one thing that made her file for divorce. "I felt like we weren't friends anymore," Cynthia shared. “I felt like it was just going toward we're just not going to be friends if we didn't pump the brakes. This is not my first rodeo. I think friendship just has to be there in a marriage. Like, love is great, but friendship has to be there. I truly want to be with my best friend,” she shared. During the episode, she shared that she was extra emotional that day. Since the divorce, she has had “good days and bad days." ”I don't think either one of us regret our decision to move forward in the way we have decided to move forward," she continued. "It's not final yet. We're still going through the process, so we're still technically married. For me, there's still just a lot of respect stuff on my end that I still feel like he's my husband." ”I took my ring off the day of the announcement but until then, I had it on all this time. Although, we were going through some things," she added. "It's just weird, you guys. It's just weird." Right now, they are working on uncoupling their lives to finalize their divorce. Despite the breakup, Cynthia said she and Mike are still on good terms. Over the years, reality show fans have watched Cynthia navigate her way through love during her previous marriage to Peter Thomas from 2010 to 2017. She also shares a daughter, Noelle, with her ex, actor Leon Robinson. The former model also addressed rumors that said she would be joining “Real Housewives of Beverly Hills” as a "friend of" the cast. ”I don't know where this information came from, but it's not true," she said. "And if it was true, I would hope that I would get to come back as a Housewife along with you, Teddi, and not a dag-on friend." OK, but what about the rumors that she's returning to "RHOA?" Inquiring minds want to know! You can listen to the full episode here. Photo: Instagram
