Normani’s ‘Dopamine’

First Week Sales (SPS) ≈ 12,000 Copies
Debut Billboard Position: #91

Beyond the critical warm welcome that greeted the ‘1:59’ and ‘Candy Paint’-housing opus, multiple Billboard charts waved hello to Normani for the first time in her career thanks to the set’s commercial reception.

Most notably found at #9 on the updated Top R&B Albums chart, the entry not only comes as the highest position attained by a new release this week but also her inaugural top 10 hit on any Billboard album chart as a leading act.

On the Top Current Album Sales tally the LP mirrors its R&B chart status by entering as the highest-charting project by any new R&B effort printed this week (#46).

Success on the aforementioned hitlists helped ‘Dopamine’ charge to #91 on the all-genre Billboard 200, not only coming as the top-charting new R&B number but also as the week’s third-highest debut among all women following the openings of NAYEON’s ‘NA’ and Lindsey Stirling’s ‘Duality’ albums (#7 and #84 respectively).
