Brandy Teases Rita Ora Duet AFTER Disney’s ‘Descendants’: “We’ve Talked About Doing Music Together”

Brandy fans (affectionately called #STARZ) may still be over the moon at her recent surprise ‘Boy Is Mine‘ collaboration with Monica and Ariana Grande, but she may soon have another unexpected musical union up her sleeve.

Hot on the promo trail for the Friday (July 12) arrival of Disney’s ‘Descendants: Rise of Red,’ Bran recently dished with ‘ET’ about the magic of reprising her role of Cinderella over 25 years after first making TV history for portraying the iconic character.

Elsewhere in the conversation, the GRAMMY winner shared her enthusiasm about reuniting with her original ‘Cinderella‘ co-star Paolo Montalban (“Prince Charming”) and working with fellow singer-songwriter Rita Ora for the first time.

“We’ve actually talked about doing music together, so hopefully that can happen,” the 45-year-old superstar shared about Ora. “She has a beautiful voice, and I think our voices together would be amazing.”

The mention is a timely one as B-Rocka is reportedly hard-at-work on her first album since 2020’s ‘B7.’

As far as Rita’s acting chops, however, Brandy didn’t shy away from giving her flowers there as well.

“She’s been great in the role [of “Queen of Hearts”],” she said about Ora. “I think people are going to be very, very surprised at how great she is.”

The British beauty – who revealed she’s a “huge fan” of the R&B veteran – shared a similar sentiment.

“Growing up seeing Brandy as Cinderella and Whitney Houston [as the “Fairy Godmother”], that was a moment in time for me and of course being a fan of her music I couldn’t believe I was working alongside her honestly. It was such an incredible excitement; I just had to do it obviously because it’s Brandy,” Rita said.
