Easily the Queen of biopics, Angela Bassett has famously brought the stories of big names like Queen of Rock N’ Roll Tina Turner and Katherine Jackson to Rosa Parks, Coretta Scott King, Betty Shabazz, Voletta Wallace, and more to life on screen over her 40-year career.

When recently quizzed about who she would tap to return the favor, Bassett didn’t hesitate to name who she thought would do the role the most justice.

Movie lovers first noticed the striking likeness of Bassett and KeKe Palmer when the two starred as mother and daughter in the 2006 drama ‘Akeelah and the Bee.’

In the time since, Palmer has not only praised Angela for her influence but gone viral with her spot-on impersonations of the OSCAR and EMMY winner – leading many to call for the 31-year-old to portray the acting legend in a biographical film.

Apparently, Bassett’s concurs with the calls as evidenced by her recent appearance on British radio station Capital Xtra.

Hot on the promo trail for the May 23 premiere of ‘Mission Impossible – The Final Reckoning,’ the screen queen was quizzed by hosts Robert Bruce and Shayna Marie on who she’d pick to bring her life story to the big screen.

“My daughter KeKe Palmer, she’s readying up for it. She got the voice down and the attitude,” the 66-year-old relayed (as seen in the video above).

At writing, Bassett has not confirmed any plans are in development to create an autobiographical film.

When that time comes, however, we know who she (and many others) will be looking to assume the titular role.
