In an interview with Deion Sanders, former NFL cornerback Adam “Pacman” Jones disclosed that he never used his own urine in league drug tests.
Jones discussed life beyond his 2019 NFL retirement and his support for marijuana during his appearance on Tuesday’s episode of Tubi’s “We Got Time,” a discussion program presented by Sanders and Rocsi Diaz.

Jones, who spent much of his NFL career with the Cincinnati Bengals and whose tenure in the league was tainted by off-field scandals, discussed how he was able to use marijuana during his professional career without being detected.
Jones stated: “Yeah, I cheated the program. Like, I was really good,” “People don’t know how smart I am. I’ve never used my piss for a piss test. Not one time.”
In response, Sanders—a former NFL player and current coach of the University of Colorado football team—stated that the system has become much stricter and that dodging drug testing “can’t happen today.”
Jones pushed back immediately. “If you know what you’re doing, it can happen,” he said to Sanders. “Pop, don’t say it can’t happen. Don’t say it can’t happen, pop.
Sanders interrupted Jones before he could elaborate on his strategy.
Putting aside his personal experience, Jones contended that since he does not believe marijuana to be a performance-enhancing substance, sports leagues should stop testing for it.
