Aaron Rodgers Throws His 500th Career TD Pass

Aaron Rodgers, the quarterback for the New York Jets, joined an exclusive group to add some optimism to a season that was otherwise disappointing.

Rodgers became just the sixth quarterback in NFL history to throw 500 touchdown passes in a single game on Sunday against the Miami Dolphins. In the second quarter, the 41-year-old hit the mark with a five-yard pass to Tyler Conklin:

The Jets have a 4-12 record going into Sunday’s matchup with the Dolphins. Despite having Super Bowl hopes before the season, New York will miss the playoffs for the fourteenth consecutive year.

Can Aaron Rodgers end his career on a high?

Despite missing almost the entire 2023 season due to a torn Achilles, Rodgers displayed glimmers of his four-time MVP form throughout the season in his first year back.

But after he was injured halfway through the year, it became clear that he was old and immobile. General manager Joe Douglas and head coach Robert Saleh were let go amid the team’s difficulties.

Following the season, Rodgers has stated that he will take some time to consider whether or not to continue playing. After tossing his 500th touchdown, he will have another accomplishment on his resume if he decides to hang up his cleats.
