Aaron Rodgers Might Play the Jets in Week 1

Taking on the team that fired him could be the most dramatic way for Aaron Rodgers to return to the NFL spotlight. The four-time MVP is anticipated to sign with the Pittsburgh Steelers, who would start him under center against the New York Jets in Week 1 of the season, according to NBC Sports.

MetLife Stadium, where Rodgers’ tumultuous 2024 season concluded, would host the game. If the transaction is approved, Rodgers and his old team, who fired him following a dismal 5-12 season, will play a much-anticipated revenge game.

Rodgers had a very difficult time with the Jets. He played the entire 2024 season after recovering from an Achilles injury in 2023, although he had trouble staying consistent.

Instead, they informed him that they were leaving him in a matter of seconds. Rodgers acknowledged, “I was kind of shocked,” and said the organization could have just called rather than forcing him to travel.
