Shedeur Sanders just got snubbed in the first round of the 2025 NFL Draft! It’s shocking, right? I mean, he has got talent oozing out of him, and yet the teams decided to pass on him.
But you know what? Shedeur isn’t letting it get him down. He’s got a fire in his belly and is ready to prove all those doubters wrong. In a brief interview, he spoke out about the draft snub and how it will only fuel his motivation to succeed.
Despite an impressive 2024/25 season in the NCAA, in which he produced 4134 yards, 37 touchdowns and a 74% pass completion rate, he learned on Thursday, April 24 that none of the 32 NFL teams saw him as a high priority.
That includes teams such as the New York Jets, New York Giants, Cleveland Browns and Las Vegas Raiders, who have struggled with their quarterback options and depth in recent seasons.
It was a crushing blow to his valuation and he now waits to see where his professional future will actually begin, with the next chance for selection coming on Friday, April 25 in the Second Round. He’s trying to keep his spirits high, however.
“We all didn’t expect this, of course,” Sanders said to reporters. “But I feel like with God, anything’s possible. Everything’s possible. I don’t feel like this happened for no reason.
“All this is of course fuel to the fire. Under no circumstance we all know this shouldn’t have happened. But we understand, we’re onto bigger and better things. Tomorrow’s the day. We’re gonna be happy regardless.”

He’s got determination and talent like no other, and he’s ready to take the NFL by storm.
