And the UK is especially enamored with the track because it’s flown to #1 in the region.

After a blazing start at #9 (with just four days of sales data), the catchy cut rises eight spots to #1 on this week’s Official UK Singles Chart.

In doing so, the song became Beyonce’s sixth solo chart-topper in the UK.

Perhaps most notably, ‘Texas Hold ‘Em’ serves as the superstar’s first #1 UK single in 14 years. Lady Gaga collaboration ‘Telephone’ topped the tally in 2010.

‘Texas Hold ‘Em,’ along with ’16 Carriages,’ is the first taste of Beyonce’s new ‘Act II’ album (due March 29 via Parkwood Entertainment / Columbia Records).
