One of the Miami Dolphins’ best players startled reporters just minutes after the team was knocked out of the NFL playoffs.
Tyreek Hill, a receiver, questioned his own future with the Miami Dolphins when asked about his message for the team following Sunday night’s 32–20 loss to the New York Jets.
He stated: “This is the first time I haven’t been in the playoffs,”. “For me, I have to do what’s best for me and my family if that’s here or wherever the case may be. I’m finna open that door for myself. Yeah.. I’m opening the door. I’m out. It was great playing here.”
Mike McDaniel reacts to Tyreek Hill’s statement
Hill’s remarks followed his two 20-yard catches and his decision to play no fourth-quarter snaps, which Coach Mike McDaniel claimed he was informed of “right before the drive.”
McDaniel stated he would not comment on Hill’s remarks at this time while he was at the podium for the postgame press conference.
McDaniels said: “Emotions are high, especially after a game like that,” . “There will be conversations that will be direct in the next couple of days. There is a lot of power in having a team that wants to play together and go for a common goal. I’m not going to put too much weight on second-hand postgame disappointment statements.
“We’ll see how the next couple of days progress with those conversations with him and I.”
When reporters asked Mike if Tyreek had pulled out of the game, he said:
“At that point in time, the focus was on the players and I didn’t take the time to figure out more into that,” “There were guys on the field that were competing. We were trying to win a game, so my focus was there.”
Mike asserted that he would take a decision calmly in near future on Tyreek Hill. He said:
“I’m not going to make a rash judgement on something that is a little bit cloudy in the heat of the moment for multiple reasons,” . “Clarity will be found and you do move forward with conviction as a football team. I look forward to having conversations with him this week.”
