Turn 2026 Into A Movie With These Top ‘Set-Jetting’ Destinations

“Set-jetting” isn’t slowing down in 2026, and film and TV lovers have several destinations to choose from inspired by next year’s releases.

Expedia’s Unpack ’26 report included a Set-Jetting Forecast for the upcoming year that highlighted the travel trend’s trajectory. If you’re unfamiliar, set-jetting describes the act of traveling based on inspiration from TV and film. Per the forecast, “Interest in pop culture-inspired vacations is accelerating, (with) 53% of travelers saying their desire to take a set-jetting trip has increased.” Moreover, the travel booking company noted that “among Gen Z and Millennial travelers, 81% now plan their getaways based on what they’ve seen on screen.”

Below, check out some of the top set-jetting destinations for 2026 based on Hollywood’s biggest upcoming film and TV projects.

France

The exact setting details of the fourth season of “The White Lotus” are still under wraps, but Variety reported in October that the characters will be in France. Additional information disclosed that the group will mainly be in the French Riviera, with some scenes in Paris. Fans of the popular HBO drama who want to experience the luxury and high-end hospitality of the hotels featured have options in France’s capital. Season 4’s developers are reportedly considering filming at the Ritz Paris and Le Lutetia.

The United Kingdom

The U.K. is a hub for 2026 set-jetting destinations. It’s home to filming sites for several of next year’s biggest film and TV show releases. Classic English literature lovers who want to transport themselves into a period piece should visit the Yorkshire Dales, where the forthcoming movie adaptation of Emily Brontë’s “Wuthering Heights” was filmed. Accommodation options for your getaway include the Stone House Hotel, the Middleton Lodge, The Lister Arms, or an Airbnb cottage stay.

Set-jetters particularly fond of city life and sightseeing will have lots to do in London. Those planning to watch “Narnia: The Magician’s Nephew” should stroll along Westminster’s historic Whitehall street, where the crew has reportedly filmed. The cameras have also allegedly been rolling at London’s 900-year-old St. Bartholomew the Great church.

Additionally, “Spider-Man: Brand New Day” kicked off filming earlier this year with shots on the streets of Glasgow, Scotland.

New York City

Reprising the primary location of the first movie, the star-studded “The Devil Wears Prada 2” has shot scenes throughout the NYC area. In Manhattan, filming for the sequel has taken place at the Midtown Dior store and Central Park. Other areas of the borough where the fashion-focused movie shot scenes include SoHo and the Upper West Side. Elsewhere, the crew has also reportedly filmed in Brooklyn, Long Island, and Newark, New Jersey.

Oahu, Hawaii

A family-friendly set-jetting destination for 2026 is definitely Oahu, where the live-action adaptation of Disney’s “Moana” filmed last year. Things to do in and around Honolulu include a sunset boat cruise, snorkeling, a movie sites tour, and visiting the Polynesian Cultural Center. For scenic stays, consider The Ritz-Carlton O’ahu, Turtle Bay, or the OUTRIGGER Reef Waikiki Beach Resort.
