Tanzania-Based Adventure Travel Company To Launch All-Female Mount Kilimanjaro Climbs This December

Altezza Travel is reportedly gearing up to start operating all-female Mount Kilimanjaro climbs beginning in December 2025.
Altezza Travel is an adventure tour and travel company based in Moshi, Tanzania. According to Travel And World Tour, the all-female experience will include women adventure travelers, guides, porters, and cooks for the climb. The scenic routes the group will take to Africa’s highest peak are reportedly suitable for all skill levels, although climbing Kilimanjaro is generally considered beginner-friendly. During the journey, the all-female Kilimanjaro climbing group will also experience the mountain’s various climates as they rise in altitude up to the around 19,300-feet summit, Uhuru Peak.
The goals of Altezza Travel’s female-forward program are reportedly to empower, inspire, and foster a sense of community among women in the male-dominated field of mountaineering. Also, the company wants to break down the barriers women face in the sport.
Altezza Travel’s all-female Kilimanjaro climbs will take place monthly after the tour’s December launch.
“This is not a novelty,” Altezza Travel stated on Instagram about its all-female Kilimanjaro climbs. “Women on our team have been leading Kilimanjaro climbs for years, consistently showing outstanding leadership and safety skills. We look forward to the day when that is no longer seen as unusual. If you’ve been planning to climb Kilimanjaro, this is your chance to make it, while helping us to make that day come sooner. Climb the Roof of Africa with like-minded women from around the world!”
