According to A.J. Brown, he is always available. As it happens, he is also truthful. The receiver is telling the world that winning Super Bowl 59 with the Philadelphia Eagles isn’t enough, and that victory was only a week ago.
After the big game, Brown, who just finished his sixth season in the NFL and his first as a champion, tried to share his sentiments with the world on Instagram. For most people, winning championships is sufficient, but not for him.
Brown wrote: “After a few days, I’ve had time to reflect on being a champion,” “I tried to feel how everyone made it seem to be a champion and unfortunately it was short lived.. two days to be exact lol.”
He indicated that he would rather dominate the opposition and pursue the hunt. He further wrote:
“I’ve never been a champion at the highest level before but I thought my hard work would be justified by winning it all,” “It wasn’t. My thrill for this game comes when i dominate. It’s the Hunt that does it for me. It’s when the Db drops his head and surrender because he can’t F with me . The Intense battles. Early mornings. Late nights. Sacrifices. I love putting smiles on peoples faces, don’t get me wrong but it just wasn’t what I thought it would be. It’s the journey that I love the most. BACK 2 Work!”
A.J. Brown’s sub-standard season
In terms of statistics, Brown is coming off a relatively poor year. He was sidelined in Week 18 due to a knee problem after missing three games due to a hamstring injury. Since Brown played the next week, his absence was probably more preventative as the Eagles decided to rest their starters in that game.
Because of Saquon Barkley’s outstanding season, Philadelphia decided to go with a run-first strategy for the entire season. The running back challenged the NFL’s single-season rushing record and revolutionized the offense. In any case, Brown’s influence persisted throughout the season. In just 13 games, he amassed 1,079 yards and seven touchdowns.
But when frustration occasionally boiled over during the playoffs, things were a little sticky. Brown read a book on the sidelines during his one-catch, ten-yard performance in the wild-card round. Later on, that was minimized and eventually resolved.
Brown’s influence in the postseason didn’t become apparent until the NFC championship game. Before recording 43 yards and a touchdown against the Kansas City Chiefs in the Super Bowl, he recorded 96 yards and a touchdown against the Washington Commanders.
Although Brown is already preparing for the 2025 regular season, those awards are fantastic. Although the ring is excellent, he would prefer to wear it on the dominant finger.
