Te’a Cooper Hopes to Return to the WNBA After Engagements With Dwight Howard and Alvin Kamara

Despite not playing in a WNBA game for almost four years, Te’a Cooper told TMZ Sports that she hopes this will change soon.

She tells us that the objective of getting shots up there is to eventually return to the W. The former Los Angeles Sparks star is presently playing abroad for Tarbes Gespe Bigorre, a professional team in the French Women’s Basketball League.

Cooper played in the WNBA in 2020 and 2021, of course, but she quit to focus on her hair company and raise Stori, her kid with Alvin Kamara.

However, she is now resolved to use her stay in France to demonstrate to WNBA teams that she still has talent.

According to the 27-year-old: “I needed film,” “I needed to get back on a team, I needed to get back in shape. I needed all the things.” “So, I think overseas was just the best thing for me because of their season being so long and the competition out here.”

Te’a told us that one of the main things that keeps her going after her basketball goals is the fact that, despite her success on the court, she really enjoys being a mother.
