As Jimmy finished the game shooting 7 of 12 from the field and 11 of 13 from the free-throw line, he was rightfully attracting the Bulls’ attention. His 11 foul shots set a new record for Golden State and were the most made by any Warrior in a debut game.
Curry said: “He’s like the exact opposite player of me, which is kind of funny. I’m shooting 16 threes, he shot 1. He got to the free-throw line a lot. He’s dominating the paint, I’m dominating the outside, the perimeter. Guys working around us, it has the potential to be really fun,”

The Warriors are still among the worst teams in the league for paint scoring beyond the halfway point of the season, and Jimmy can undoubtedly help there right away. Butler screened for Curry before rolling to the rim, giving the Warriors a few points already.
Because they have to choose between protecting Jimmy in the paint or Steph behind the line, defenses will continue to battle against such actions. Additionally, when defenses overcommit, the seasoned forward can make the extra pass because to his playmaking skills.
Last night in Chicago, Butler recorded four assists in his debut, giving us glimpses of that potential. The 35-year-old has embraced his new position in Golden State.
