‘SNL’ Alum Chris Redd Shares Injury Photos After Unprovoked Attack In NYC

Former “Saturday Night Live” star Chris Redd is sharing photos of injuries he sustained after he was punched - unprovoked - by a random person on the streets of NYC ahead of a gig. See his injuries and surveillance footage of the man punching him inside… In extremely disturbing news, comedian Chris Redd was randomly attacked as he made his way inside the Comedy Cellar for a scheduled gig. The former “Saturday Night Live” star was randomly punched in the nose by a man with brass knuckles this week on MacDougal Street in Greenwich Village. The comedian suffered two black eyes and had to have his nose stitched up. The motivation for the attack is unclear. Despite the attack, he’s still smiling: Surveillance footage captured the moment the man attacked Chris, which you can check out below: And here’s the aftermath, showing Chris’ blood splattered all over the stairs leading down into the underground club: Law enforcement officers told TMZ that a man in a security guard uniform struck the comedian and then yanked his Greg Yuna chain before running off. Chris was able to recover the necklace, although it was in pieces. Patrol cops were near, but were unable to capture the assailant. Despite what happened, Chris told TMZ that he’s feeling “very happy” and “fortunate.” Thankfully, he wasn’t seriously injured.
