Pippen came from Los Angeles’ Sierra Canyon School as a four-star prospect. Over schools like Georgia Tech, Stanford, and Texas A&M, he decided on Michigan. When coach Dusty May was appointed last year, he was the first commitment he signed.
As a rookie, Pippen ended up having a small impact, playing only 6.6 minutes per game while making 28 appearances. After high school, he was thought of as a combo guard, but he didn’t immediately establish himself in Michigan’s rotation.
Pippen is probably not going to play anymore for Michigan this season. After defeating Texas A&M and UC San Diego in the opening weekend of the NCAA Tournament, the Wolverines will take on Auburn in the Sweet 16.
