Aaron Rodgers talks about Patrick Mahomes incident and safety
Aaron Rodgers, the quarterback for the Jets, has been keeping an eye on the situation and has expressed concern for player safety.
He claimed that he had increased his protection, particularly after the Daily Mail disclosed his New Jersey residence.
At practice on Wednesday, Rodgers stated: “It is an interesting situation that happened in Cincinnati, mostly around the call,” “But yeah, I think something happened in Kansas City as well. I have security, full-time, thanks to the Daily Mail for putting my (expletive) out there.” “There’s been some issues. It’s something we all think about from time to time, you know you’re kind of exposed in that way. It seems like there is a professional aspect, where they don’t care if there is an alarm set, they are going to get in, get out quickly. So hopefully it doesn’t happen anymore.”
Reports state that the FBI is looking at the burglaries as a possible result of an international criminal organization. The NBA sent players a statement claiming that the FBI had “connected many of the home burglaries to transnational South American Theft Groups,” however the FBI did not corroborate this. The Athletic obtained the memo.
According to Rodgers, more athletes ought to utilize NFL security resources.
