Mia Thornton had quite the prickly experience at the Real Housewives of Potomac’ season 9 reunion.

As seen by viewers of the Bravo hit, the polarizing figure left the taping earlier after questions about her chaotic love life and motherhood formed a focus of the filming.

Host Andy Cohen labeled it a “shame spiral” as Thornton left the production.

Now, in an interview on the Atlanta radio show of her on-off-on-again love interest Inc, the 40-year-old shares her reason for the dramatic exit.

And it centers on rival Gizelle Bryant.

Waxing candidly, Thornton says she didn’t leave because she was overly emotional. Rather, she insists that she left the taping because she was “about to knock the brakes off [Gizelle’s] head” after the latter labeled her a “bad mother.”

Elsewhere in the interview, she asserted her desire to join the refreshed cast of the ‘Real Housewives of Atlanta.’
