Remy Ma is over the drama. After she aired out her frustrations with Papoose after Claressa Shields‘ interview on ‘The Breakfast Club’ discussing their divorce yesterday morning (May 21).

During the ‘Conceited’ rapper’s Instagram Live, she waxed candid about the issues she and her estranged husband have been having behind the scenes. Indeed, she revealed that infidelity wasn’t the cause of their split, and that she broke up with him.

Elsewhere, she was emphatic about not wanting Shields to mention her or their marriage in interviews, and ultimately feeling sorry for the boxer. She says:

“I’ve never breathed so freely. I couldn’t take it anymore. I said, ‘Hey, this isn’t what it is. You can’t keep doing this.’ … People would cry if they knew the truth. I feel sorry for ol’ girl. I feel sorry for her because I know the circles that’s being ran and wrapped around over there. I would cry. I feel bad.”

The ‘Lean Back’ femcee even claimed that the ‘Black Love’ rapper didn’t support her while she was in prison, and that she was the one paying the bills.

As far as their divorce, Ma doesn’t want anything from him and essentially wants the emcee to sign the papers. But she, too, claims that he hasn’t retained a lawyer yet to do so.

When it comes to Shields, she is voicing her support for Papoose. She told ‘The Breakfast Club’:

“I don’t know what’s going on in his personal life. But that takes time, and like I said, that’s not my place to speak on. What I do know is, I’m with him every day. And when we’re not together, we’re on the phone. We FaceTime. We love each other. That’s just what it is.”

The former couple married in 2008 and welcomed their first child together in 2018.

Despite being widely hailed as standardbearers of ‘Black Love’ – a status they celebrated – rumors of infidelity began to make waves before their split.
