According to ESPN’s Jeremy Fowler, Colorado head coach Deion Sanders is listed as a “potential fit” for the Las Vegas Raiders. According to Fowler, NFL officials “are watching closely” to see if the Raiders will fire current coach Antonio Pierce after just one season in charge.

He said:  “The belief among many in the league is that Tom Brady, now a minority owner of the Raiders, will have some level of influence over major decisions, and team owner Mark Davis will covet his knowledge and insight,”. “If Brady is looking for a fellow GOAT, Sanders has a compelling case as the best cornerback in NFL history.”

The third reason for the widespread debate about whether Sanders may end up in Sin City was mentioned by Fowler. With a top-five pick in the offing, the Raiders could be able to get Colorado standout Shedeur Sanders, who they urgently need as their next franchise quarterback. In the NFL, Deion and Shedeur might continue their father-son relationship.

For his part, Coach Prime has reiterated his dedication to Colorado for the long run. He said last month: “I’m happy where I am, man,” “I’ve got a kickstand down. You know what a kickstand is? … That means I’m resting. I’m good, I’m happy, I’m excited. I’m enthusiastic about where I am. I love it here, truly do.”

If Shedeur and two-way star Travis Hunter formally declare for the 2025 NFL draft, the Buffs will lose their two best players this offseason. However, Colorado’s 2025 recruiting class is ranked 37th in 247Sports’ aggregate team rankings, and Sanders has continuously performed well in the transfer portal. Compared to a 2024 finish of 95th, there is a substantial improvement.

The Buffaloes, who finished 9-3 in the regular season and won seven Big 12 games, may regress a little next season due to the irreplaceability of Shedeur and Hunter, especially the latter. However, Sanders has the program moving in the right direction with an increasingly solid base.
