Mike Tyson Is Yet To Fully Recover From Jake Paul’s Heavy Punches

Mike Tyson just came out and said he still hasn’t fully recovered from his fight with Jake Paul. I mean, who would’ve thought? Iron Mike himself, admitting that he’s still feeling the effects?

You know, that fight was something else. Everybody was hyped up to see the legend go head to head with Jake Paul, and let’s be real, Paul gave a good fight. But you could see the toll it took on Tyson. He was swinging with all his might and the effect is what Tyson is feeling now.

It’s shocking to think that even a legend like Tyson, with all his glory days behind him, is still feeling the impact. I guess it just goes to show that the fight game takes its toll on even the toughest of fighters. But hey, that’s what makes Tyson who he is, right? He’s always been a warrior, never backing down from a challenge.

He told the New York Post “I feel pretty good. I don’t know if I’m 100 per cent recovered, but I feel good.” Back in December, the boxing veteran admitted he couldn’t remember a large chunk of the fight. “I don’t remember the fight that much, I kind of blanked out,” he told Fox Sports Radio.

“I haven’t watched the fight. You know what I remember… coming back from the first round and Jake was doing some sort of bow… that’s the last thing I remember.” He went on to say: “I wasn’t tired, I wasn’t sweaty. I went to the house we were staying in, I left the house with my wife and kids, went to the after-party then went back.”

The American admitted after the showdown he had almost died in the build-up to the fight after suffering an ulcer flare-up on a flight. “This is one of those situations when you lost but still won,” he said. “I’m grateful for [Friday] night and have no regrets about getting in the ring one last time.

“I almost died in June; I had eight blood transfusions. I lost half my blood and 25lbs in hospital and had to fight to get healthy to fight so I won. To have my children see me stand toe to toe and finish eight rounds with a talented fighter half my age in front of a packed Dallas Cowboy stadium is an experience that no man has the right to ask for.”

We are sending some positive vibes his way, and hope that Iron Mike Tyson can bounce back stronger than ever. After all, he’s always been a fighter, and fighters don’t stay down for long. Keep pushing, Tyson, we’re rooting for you!
