Over the last six years, Rihanna fans have been hounding the Pop princess to release new music, and now, their prayers are finally being answered. A week after rumors that RiRi would be releasing new music soon, both the Black Panther franchise and Marvel Studios shared a teaser for the upcoming film on their official social media accounts, teasing a new track. The new mom - who welcomed a son with boyfriend A$AP Rocky in May - hopped in Marvel’s comment section where she posted the arms crossed emoji - which symbolizes the Wakanda Forever hand gesture - and a red heart emoji. The new musical drop comes in time for the nine-time Grammy winner to perform the song during her Super Bowl LVII Halftime Show in February 2023. According to a Roc Nation press release, the FENTY honcho will make her highly-anticipated return to the airwaves this Friday (Oct. 28th) with “Lift Me Up,” the lead single from the upcoming Black Panther: Wakanda Forever original soundtrack. “Lift Me Up” was written as a tribute to the extraordinary life and legacy of Chadwick Boseman by Tems, Oscar winner Ludwig Göransson, Rihanna, and Ryan Coogler. The song was recorded in five countries and was produced by Göransson. Music fans have been desperate for new music from Rihanna as it has been over six years since her last release, ANTI.
