‘Black Panther’ actress Letitia Wright is not backing down.
For, she has now a “healthy way” to move on from her previous controversy surrounding an anti-vaccination video.
More details below…
It all began in December 2020 when she re-tweeted and anti-vaccination video during the COVID pandemic. In an apology post at that time, she wrote:
“If you don’t conform to popular opinions but ask questions and think for yourself….you get cancelled. My intention was not to hurt anyone, my ONLY intention of posting the video was it raised my concerns with what the vaccine contains and what we are putting in our bodies. Nothing else.”
In a new interview with The Guardian, she stands behind her apology that she previously made.
“I feel it’s something I experienced two years ago and I have in a healthy way moved on. And in a healthy way I’ve apologized and deleted my Twitter. I just apologized for any hurt that was caused to anybody,” she said.
However, she when asked if she had the vaccine, she simply said that she had “moved on” and asked for the next question.
It is worth noting that actress Jameela Jamil seemingly confirmed Wright’s vaccination status. On Twitter last month, a fan brought up the controversy, to which Jamil said “She’s literally vaccinated…”
The new interview with The Guardian comes as the cast of ‘Black Panther: Wakanda Forever’ hits the promotional trail for the blockbuster movie, which is in theaters.
