But you know what, LeBron’s not one to shy away from speaking his mind. He’s always been vocal about stuff like this, especially when it comes to the game he loves. And you know what, he’s got a point – the NBA Finals are a big deal, and they deserve more attention.

In a recent episode of the Mind the Game podcast, Steve Nash discussed various topics around the league with James. During their discussion, James expressed his disappointment regarding how the media portrayed the NBA Finals.

“We all have a story. And there is a lot of stories that could be told on the OKC roster and on the Pacers roster,” James said. “And it’s like, do the guys that preach our game, do they want to do the homework and take the time out to actually tell these stories? And it doesn’t seem way. It’s just, ‘what can I say without truth or without knowledge’ or ‘this is what I want to say’ and there’s no accountability behind it.”

During the discussion on the Mind the Game Podcast, James explored the vital role that media plays in shaping fans’ perceptions of the league, particularly during key events in the NBA calendar, such as the playoffs and the NBA Finals.

“That now goes to our fans. We have to protect our players, protect our product, and also bring awareness. I think our game is also about storytelling. We have to tell the stories of our players, of how they got there, why they’re there, the journey it took for them to get there,” James said.

So, kudos to LeBron for keeping it real and calling out the media. Let’s hope hings get better with the NBA Finals.
