Kadarius Toney has rescinded his previous announcement to retire from the NFL and pursue a career as a rapper. Fans were left in complete shock when Toney initially proclaimed his intentions to leave the world of football behind and dive headfirst into the music industry. However, he has responded to his announcement and refuted the reports.
Toney has decided that he’s not quite ready to walk away from the sport that has been a significant part of his life for so long. Well!
While responding to the rumors of his retirement announcement, he wrote;
“Goofies on the net hollerin I’m retiring,” Toney wrote on his Instagram story. “Just want klout. Ain’t speakin on the [poop emoji] nomo.”
He added: “Love da attention for my musik tho. It’s been a passion.”
It remains unclear if Toney had even said that he wanted to retire in the first place.
The agency that represents Toney did not immediately respond when asked for comment by The Post.
Toney, 26, has been releasing rap music for a number of years under the name Yung Joka, with his last album being released in 2024.
Only time will tell how Toney’s dual career path will unfold. Will he find success both on the gridiron and in the recording studio? Only he holds the answer to that question. For now, it’s football!
