Isaiah Thomas is one of only a select few who can overcome the difficulties of being the final pick in any draft. Consider Jimmy Butler, who became a multiple NBA All-Star after being selected last in the first round. However, there is also the possibility of becoming the last player chosen overall because that guy rarely plays in the NBA Draft. Isaiah Thomas is the lone exception to this norm.
The Sacramento Kings made the right choice by taking a risk on the Washington guard in the 2011 NBA Draft.
Although he had stops with Boston, Phoenix, Denver, and Los Angeles, among others, he ultimately peaked with the Kings at 20.3 points per game. He returned to the NBA scene in the G League on Tuesday night, sending the internet into a frenzy.

In a defeat against the Valley Suns, Thomas scored 40 points and dished out eight assists in his first game with the Salt Lake City Stars. He also made all five of his free throw attempts. Thomas has been very outspoken about returning to the NBA. He last played six games with the Phoenix Suns last season.
Even though the Jazz aren’t the best fit for him as an NBA team in the future, if Thomas keeps playing well like he did today, he might end up on a team that wants to add depth after the trade deadline.

Following his initial tenure with the Los Angeles Lakers, Thomas had a brief 12-game appearance with the Nuggets during the 2018–19 season, averaging 8.1 points in 15.1 minutes of action per night.
