Pickens, who was selected in the second round out of Georgia in 2022, is currently in his third season with the Steelers. Throughout his tenure with the team, he has caught passes from five different quarterbacks.
Given the unclear futures of Justin Fields and Russell Wilson, who are both scheduled to enter free agency this winter, that number might increase. Although he has witnessed progress and improvements, the 23-year-old did not deny that he is not feeling particularly enthusiastic about the offensive unit.
This season, Pickens participated in 14 games and recorded 900 yards, three touchdowns, and 59 receptions. He has been Pittsburgh’s primary receiving threat and has amassed at least 50 catches and 800 yards in each of his three NFL seasons.
