Tuesday night marked the devastating end of the Milwaukee Bucks‘ playoff season amid the uncertainty surrounding the future of their best players. They lost Game 5 against the Indiana Pacers 119-118 in overtime, eliminating them. With a seven-point advantage and only 40 seconds left in overtime, the Bucks seemed to be in charge. NBA analyst and veteran Charles Barkley was blunt in his assessment of the game’s closing moments on NBA on TNT. In Game 5, Barkley was clearly astonished and frustrated, particularly by Gary Trent Jr.’s repeated mistakes in crucial situations.
Barkley said: “I don’t like to use the word ‘choke,’ but that was a choke. That was brutal. That was a choke job. Ain’t nothing you can say but that was a gag. That was a choke, choke, choke,”

At the most inconvenient moment, Trent broke under strain. The Pacers had hope after his first turnover. Milwaukee’s destiny was decided by his second with 15 seconds remaining and the Bucks down by only one point. Indiana quickly took possession of the ball as it slipped through his fingertips.
Tyrese Haliburton took full advantage of the chance. With a game-winning layup that propelled Indiana into the second round and the Bucks reeling, he cut through the defense.
