Dwyane Wade clearly doesn’t mind being the target of a joke. This week, he went back to the phony comment that went viral, stating that although if the entire ass-eating scandal was fugazi, he did laugh a little about it.

A fake quote graphic that went viral on social media back in 2017, before NBA Centel, claimed that Wade saw the bright side of the Cleveland Cavaliers’ early-season struggles because, at the end of the day, he got to go home and spend some strange time with his wife, Gabrielle Union.

Wade swiftly disputed the statement’s veracity, quote-tweeting it and stating: “So we’re making fake quotes up now. Oh wait that’s what everyone does nowadays. Carry on with the tomfoolery.”

He said, “I wouldn’t be who I am today if I really took it seriously,”

When asked about the incident on Friday’s “Pardon My Take” on Barstool Sports, the Miami Heat great was able to laugh with Big Cat and the PFT Commenter. Wade obviously didn’t deny anything besides the fact that the quote was fake.
