Dwyane Wade Claims He Doesn’t Have LeBron James’s Power to Have His Son Play NBA

Ever since he joined the NBA, Bronny James has been the target of excessive criticism. Critics have been somewhat placated by the shadow of his father, LeBron James. Nevertheless, certain game luminaries, including Dwyane Wade, are fed up with hearing about Bronny‘s every in-game choice being scrutinized and condemned.

The youthful Laker was discussed by the multiple NBA champions on the most recent episode of his podcast, “The Why.”

Using the small sample size Bronny has thus far, Wade and co-host Bob Metelus analyze his NBA play. The NBA presents a whole different set of challenges, even though both acknowledge his enormous potential in the G-League.

Dwyane Wade speaks about Bronny getting lucky as he is LeBron James’s son

Wade protects Bronny from the hate he encounters, particularly in relation to the opportunities he is receiving as LeBron’s kid. He notes that the fact that criticizing Bronny results in hits and page views accounts for a large portion of the attention.

Wade inquired: “Give him a little bit more grace, and appreciate what he’s been able to build for himself. And stop tearing him down because ‘I don’t like the fact that LeBron James had the power.’ Who wouldn’t want that?”

Wade goes on to say that his son Zaire Wade would also be playing in the NBA if he had the same authority as Bron: “I don’t have that power. My son would be in the NBA too…developing.”

Zaire decided to play basketball professionally rather than go to college, starting his career right out of high school. In the 2021 G-League draft, he was chosen by the Salt Lake City Stars with the tenth choice. But in 2022 and 2023, the 23-year-old footballer experienced injury difficulties.
